![]() If it’s at a sunset, choose some kind of dark magenta. If the setting is around fire, you should choose orange. What colour you choose now will depend on the lighting you want. Here are a couple of quick examples done in FireAlpaca with moving static images (which sounds wrong, but hopefully you understand) and a little mesh transform, the first done with a very cartoony fog drawing, the second with fog layers quickly created with the airbrush. FireAlpaca has clear and crisp strokes, and watercolor that you can customize. Make a new layer on top of the colouring layer and below the lineart layer. does this quench youif you have any questions drop em in a comment and ill. You could also apply mesh transform to each frame of the fog image(s) to give more movement, if you use a static image rather than re-drawing each frame. because i get questions about it literally all the gd time. Name layers and put them in folders so you dont lose track. Lastly, use the opacity bar to make sketching easier. You can then refine your sketch on a layer on top of it without clutter. Vapor effects like fog or mist are probably still best done with the use of a video editor, but you could use some fog image layers and animate the layer movement in FireAlpaca - in a video editor, if you use an image rather than an effect, you can just create start and end positions and the software will move each frame, in FireAlpaca you will have to manually move each frame (or re-draw each frame). Use the preserve opacity option its very useful for shading or changing colour in linework without having to redraw it. So if you go to your Firealpaca, click add brush, at the bottom you will see show brush store. In my opinion, FireAlpaca animation (or any frame-by-frame labour-intensive animation) is probably better used for traditional character animation rather than video effects. Brush : Color Pencil, Drawing PenFireAlpacaHUB. If you use layer blending modes you can produce some of the colour effects or overlay effects. If you use mesh transforms you could reproduce some of the image distortions. If you search for FireAlpaca glitch effect, there are a couple of examples and tutorials.firealpaca tutorials and brushes (Not affiliated with firealpaca, medibangpaint or other existing fansites.) There's so many interesting brushes and tutorials that i just wanted to make a blog to collect them all. Most effects in vaporwave video clips would be best done as an effect in a video editor (I suspect many of them can be done with existing effects or plugins in a video editor) rather than hand-animated in FireAlpaca. I don’t think i’ve seen any tutorials on folder usage yet, but it’s really easy to get used. ![]() Vaporwa ve is a music style, and is not necessarily linked to a specific visual appearance (although there are some visual themes that tend to be repeated, such as 90s computer and internet images, colour filters, glitch effects, lens distortion, other distortions, and layer/channel overlays) - you’d have to point to some specific music video clips and a specific effect to give some idea of what you were looking for. Vaporwa re is software that is announced but never finished or released. ![]()
